The Reiki Principles:

Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.

Just for today I will not worry.

Just for today I will not be angry.

Just for today I will do my work honestly.

Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.
The word REIKI comes from the Japanese and means universal life force. REI describes the
universal and limitless aspect of this energy while KI represents the life force, which is in all living
things. The KI is the same energy that is known as CHI by the Chinese, Prana by the Hindu and
Mana by the Kahunas.

Reiki is very gentle and natural as it assists the body in healing itself. It works well with other types
of therapy helping them be more effective, often causing the process to succeed more rapidly. Reiki
is used with my healing practice as a way to boost and relax the individual receiving healing.

I am a Reiki Master Teacher and that means I can attune individuals to Reiki. An Attunement is
similar to tuning a radio, the bodies’ energy is changed to be able to use Reiki on another.

                                                   Reiki I

A Reiki I attunement is a simple process and is done in one day but it is a very special event. An
attunement to Reiki is an opening to an awareness to energy, being able to feel energy and to
embrace that new world that has been hidden under a thin veil until now. An individual
considering a Reiki attunement should feel they resonate, a connection if you will with the
practitioner doing this. This is the same for the practitioner doing the attunement. Reiki I
attunements are done with a minimum of 2 individuals because you practice on each other after
your attuned and the practitioner needs to be able to observe and guide those individuals. You will
be matched with another other person with  the same sense of resonance. Groups of up to 4 are
perfectly acceptable. There is also a required 21 day self practice to solidify your attunement and
then you are allowed to practice on others. Any living thing can benefit from Reiki.

                                                   Reiki II

A level II Reiki attunement is only different in that it completes the cycle of your Reiki attunement
and should only be considered if you are interested in becoming a healer. This is a 2 day course in
which you will be learning the Reiki symbols and distance healing.

Reiki attunements require a significant amount of time between attunements. An understanding of
Reiki and the energy world needs to be developed and explored in order to receive further
attunements. This is the tradition followed by this practitioner, the relationship to energy is built
and that awareness of the self will allow the person to know when they are ready to go further with
their practice of Reiki. Please contact the practitioner for further details and consideration.
